Gender Mainstreaming Training

November 2002 - May 2003 | Project manager & Instructional Designer | Four Dutch Ministries
Online pilot training containing full content. To be suited for policy makers at four different ministries, but flexible enough to be adapted for policy makers at other governmental institutions and levels. The challenge was to suit all these different user groups but also different learning styles.
In the end I designed a case-based course with a theory section, a general case and an additional specific case for each user group. Users could experiment with a number of gender tools as well as performing gender bias research and were confronted with gender bias in their own policy area. They were free to choose their learning path as the courses was made up of different learning objects. The use of these reusable learning objects also allowed for flexibility for the user as well as flexibility for the designer or instructor to adapt the course for different user groups.
In addition to the ID, I performed the initial needs analysis, worked closely with SME and gender experts at the ministries to collect content and write scripts and storyboards and communicated with the client.

Employment Agency Software Training

September 2002 - January 2003 | Instructional Designer/Multimedia Developer | Dutch-Belgian Employment Agency

Tight deadline because all employees had to be trained before Easter, as that is when the flower auction biggest sales season starts. So deadline of february was final.
